This project involves constructing a new 3-story Judicial Center for the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury. The facility will house courtrooms, office and support spaces, detention areas, a sally port, and a secure parking garage.

The project will proceed in phases:
Phase 1 includes building a new mechanical yard, relocating existing components from the Magnolia Building’s mechanical yard, and demolishing the current Magnolia Building parking garage and mechanical yard to clear space for the new structure.
Phase 2 focuses on constructing the new Judicial Center.
Phase 3 involves demolishing the existing judicial building after the parish moves into the new Judicial Center.

Located on a confined downtown site in Lake Charles, the project must accommodate adjacent active government buildings. It represents the largest and most expensive initiative in the history of the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury.
