The replacement of Lafayette High School consists of multiple phases including early release, new construction, demolition of existing school, and site improvements. The new construction will take place over 30 months in the middle of an operating campus.
Superstructure consists of combination of cast-in-place concrete and mass timber. The first phase, GMP 1A consists of new student parking lot, storm drainage, and miscellaneous pavement modifications around the site. Phase 1B will consist of the site utility work/relocations and the building pad. Phase 2 will include the new high school building while Phase 3 will capture the existing high school demolition and remaining road/parking lot work.
