Located in Downtown Baton Rouge’s Capitol Complex, the LaSalle Office Building stands 180′ above the Mississippi River. The 346,355 SF structure, which kicked off the resurgence of downtown Baton Rouge, is surrounded by over 24 miles precast of concrete piling and 3,000 cubic yards of concrete. It’s structure is structural steel and concrete, 3,700 tons and 2,000 cubic yards respectively. Over 2,400 architectural precast concrete panels and 1,200 glass windows make up the skin of the building.
The iconic Baton Rouge landmark at the corner of Third and North Street houses a multitude of State departments including the Department of Revenue, Department of Natural and Mineral Resources, the Office of Conservation, and is home to 1,050 employees.
