The Lewis Street Parking Garage is located on the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Campus. The 344,060 SF parking garage, consists of a cast in place foundation and precast structure, and encompasses 6 levels with 1,161 parking spaces. Construction challenges included the placement of the new structure, between two existing and operational buildings, Fletcher and Oliver Halls, among heavy pedestrian traffic on the bustling campus. An intense site utilization plan, and a project site marked with complete safety and detailed directional signage, proved to keep the site both safe and logistically planned for uninterrupted and on-time construction.

Unique features of the garage are its’ impressive architectural touches: arches at the top spandrel openings, bump out accents at the exterior columns, and thin-set brick throughout. In addition to the garage, a single-story 8,000 SF linear building consisting of structural steel and an 800 SF stick frame food service building are were constructed.
