Partnering as a Joint Venture, LEMOINE | Luster will begin this project with demolition of the existing W.H. James Hall and construction of the new 94,000 SF STEM complex. This Academic building will consist of teaching labs for Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, Research Labs, Classrooms, Lecture Halls, Student Commons, Administrative Offices, Lounges, and Food service. The new facility will provide a modern teaching and learning environment for faculty and staff with lab configurations that allow for integration with technology and A/V systems. This will allow for easy transition between different classes needs in the shared spaces.

The new STEM Complex is centrally located in the academic center of Southern University. It will be easily accessed by over 24,000 SF of concrete pathways. The building will be a structural steel structure supported by deep foundation and a glass exterior with metal panels.
